Dr Christian Metschina studied Environmental Systems Science at the Karl-Franzens-University Graz. For several years he worked as a consultant for energy and biomass at the Styrian Chamber of Agriculture. Since 2014, Christian Metschina has been responsible for the management of the Energy, Climate and Bioresources Unit at the Chamber of Agriculture. In addition to his work at the Chamber of Agriculture, he is Deputy Chairman of the Austrian Biomass Association and through this function is strongly involved in the lobbying of the European biomass association Bioenergy Europe in Brussels.
