Daniela Grabe is a historian and business computer scientist and from 2008 to March 2017 she was a city councillor of the Greens in the city of Graz. In this function, she was committed to transparency in municipal council and administration (attempts to implement live streaming of municipal councils; "live ticker" from the city council sessions, Open Government Data) and to the development of high-performance Internet). In addition, she has worked for public commemorative culture, women's and gender equality policies, and has been member of the city's committee of control (the committee of the municipal audit office). In 2013, she brought the memorial project "Stolpersteine" by the German artist Gunter Demnig to Graz, an initiative that continues her after the Gemeinderat activity. Besides that, she works in the product management of an international financial software company.
