Behind the pseudonym kauders hides the Graz-based musician and composer Gottfried Krienzer. His piece "GLOP II" presented at the Elevate Festival is based on tvelve percussionists who perform tempo manipulations of repetitive rhythm patterns in order to transform them into an organic, constantly changing whole, a single groove. In the process, each drummer takes on a rhythm pattern and follows an individual tempo. Processes of convergence follow moments of decay, high event density alternates with moments of quiet, aimless meandering.
