Gerald Bäck studied tele-communications at the University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten and dealt for ten years with the challenges of media monitoring in Austria. In addition, he is running his own political blog and a corresponding podcast.

Gerald Bäck currently serves as the CEO of Digital Affairs GmbH and advises companies, institutions and individuals within the framework of their strategic online-communication efforts. On a technical level he is involved with the dissemination of web2.0 means of communication, in the course of which he is conducting joint studies with the Max Planck Institute and is teaching at the Danube University Krems.
