The echoing mantras need some time and therefore Matthias Peyker builds big arcs of suspense – especially in his live-sets – which at times culminate in heart-warming choral singings. In such elevating moments, a thousand fuegos reminds the listener of intense post-rock and shoegazer legends like My Bloody Valentine, like their current single Three Gorges in a Cokoos Nest proves.
