Chrissy Murderbot is a DJ, producer, and record label head honcho living in Chicago, working across the juke-dub-ghetto-bass-house-disco-rave-step spectrum.
Since getting started as a DJ in 1995, he's played at over 400 events in more than 15 countries, alongside legends like Juan Atkins, 4Hero, Plaid, The Bug, Phil Hartnoll (Orbital), Ghislain Poirier, Aux88, Mark 1, Mungo’s Hi-Fi, DJ SS, Legowelt, Remarc, Bizzy B, Kid606, Pinch, and more.
2009 saw Chrissy release a 2LP and 5 EPs, in addition to remixes for Hostage, Pirate Soundsystem, Mestizo, Bobby Braun, Ssion, Larytta and others. Forthcoming projects for 2010 include 2 EPs of bootleg re-edits, another new album, and remixes for Hakan Lidbo, Andrew WK / Thurston Moore, and Noise Floor Crew.
In addition to DJing, production, and running Sleazetone Records, Chrissy runs a mixtape-a-week music blog, My Year of Mixtapes, which receives over 10,000 hits per week.
