Kids-patch
Kids-Patch is an event series initiated in Belgrade, Serbia, dedicated to new children’s creativity. Since 2008, KidsPatch was presented at numerous events in Europe and the USA through collaboration with various artists and collectives. Each programme consists of a series of workshops for kids (ages 5-12) related to the fields of contemporary music, graphic art, performance and new media. It is a 100% participatory program that utilizes an intuitive, inventive and forward-thinking approach to children's creative education within the context of arts and culture.
Through promoting the idea of collaboration, teamwork, fun, doodling and drawing, Kids-Patch workshop at Elevate will show what the performative creative process is all about! The workshop is conceived with the idea to inspire kids to explore potentials of visual expression in the spirit of collaboration. Through mask making, stencils designing and graffiti exploring utilizing the "tagtool" methodology - a DIY controller accompanied by an open source software - intended for live performance drawing and animation.
The workshop will be held with the participation of illustrators and graffiti artists from Belgrade.
