After two days of topic specific events, the Sunday programme will focus on the big picture. Two workshops invite people to come to terms with possible future developments of the current economic system as well as alternative production and society models. Following those workshops, Elevate will host the world premiere of the documentary film The Crisis of Civilization by Dean Puckett. Based on the recently published book by political scientist Nafeez Mosaddeq Ahmed, who will be present at the screening, this film offers a spectacular and artistically stimulating introduction into the causes and effects of the current socio-ecological crisis.
After the screening, internationally renowned journalists and performing artists will debate the present state and possible future developments of electronic music. The highlight of the day is the concluding panel discussion in the evening. It will bring together a selection of critical thinkers and activists to debate the great challenges of the 21st century. In this case, the central issue is the search for pioneering visions and promising alternatives.
