David Steinwender
David Steinwender currently studies environmental systems sciences at the University of Graz. He is interested in the issues of eco-social transformation in the context of the urban environment and the commons, and in the idea „right to the city“. He previously worked for Südwind and was head of the Alternativreferat (alternative department) of the ÖH (Austrian students's union) Uni Graz, where he is presently responsible for the areas of ecology and sustainability. David Steinwender is also co-founder of the initiatives Graetzwerk and OpenSpaceGraz and is actively engaged in Transition Graz and in the networking of community gardens.
