Lucy Railton (uk)

In her work the cellist and composer Lucy Railton deals with the dualism of acoustic/electronic, real/imaginary, furious/romantic, organic/mechanical and moves between Musique Concrete and experimental electronics. For this she adds abstract field recordings and the electronically alienated sound of her cello to psychoacoustic experimental arrangements. She has performed in Tate Modern and ZKM as well as at major festivals such as Berlin Atonal. Her debut album has been released on the Modern Love label.
