Lukas Hermsmeier, born in Berlin in 1988, is an independent journalist and author based in New York. He writes about US politics and culture for publications such as Zeit Online, analyse & kritik and Die Wochenzeitung, with focus on social movements and labor organizing. He is an Op-Ed contributor for The New York Times.
