Alex Zhang Hungtai is a Canadian-born, Taiwanese-raised and US-based musician. He grew up in Montréal's experimental indie scene with his alias Dirty Beaches and was one of the city's protagonists. For some years now, he has been performing under his real name and devotes himself mainly to playing the saxophone and abstract electronics.  He can also be seen playing the saxophone in the cult series "Twin Peaks" by David Lynch. Nowadays, Hungtai also creates film soundtracks.
