Carrier, the project of Guy Brewer, brings the tension between club sound and experimental sonic architecture into a new dimension. Brewer first emerged in the mid-1990s experimenting with drum & bass, later co-founding the influential duo Commix before moving into darker, textured techno under the alias Shifted and founding the respected label Avian.With his latest album Rhythm Immortal, Brewer deliberately shifts his music into slower-paced, atmospherically dense territory, moving between finely choreographed percussion, ambient noise, and stripped-back rhythms. It's immersive, physical compositions that feel both hypnotic and otherworldly.
