Born in Nairobi and based in Berlin, Joseph Kamaru creates soundscapes as KMRU that lead like hypnotic journeys through urban and natural environments. Field recordings, fleeting and concrete textures are woven into evocative sceneries. His music is introspective and tender, exciting and calming at the same time. An artist who makes silence and sound speak in equal measure.
