WoO is an experimental guitarist, sound artist and producer from Belgrade.
Using electric guitar as a receiver of different frequencies, that various devices such as mobile phones, remote control, radio or computer equipment transmit into the air, WoO creates a spectrum of sounds not usually related to the sound of electric guitar. With his roots in rock and noise music, he offers up a fresh new approach of shimmering, highly detailed, frequency rich ambient music, creating very sublte, harmonic, oscillating and deep compositions of structural flow. WoO takes all of this electronic interference noise and, using effects pedals, strings them into overlaying loops to create what he terms "100% organic music."
Adding ambiental soundscapes, combining contemporary electronic music with his rock roots, WoO creates sky noise music some people described as shoegaze, modern electronic, minimal rock, punk ambient...
Recently he played several shows with synthesizer and guitar, creating spaced out drone symphonies rich with layers of melodies that intertwine with each other until reaching the full spectrum of blissful noise.
WoO released two official solo albums, Mobi Rock (2007) and Come Blue (2008), as well as many compilations, free web releases and live recordings. So far he played with Stephan Schneider (Mapstation, To Rococo Rot), Martin Brandlmayr (Radian, Trapist, Autistic Daughters), Mole Harness and Simon Spurrier (Sickoakes) to name a few. He also performs with drummer Dusan Damnjanovic and bassist Milos Pajagic as Belgrade Noise 3. With visual artist Incredible Bob, who in similar manner approaches his video creations, using often cheap equipment such as video mixers and VHS, WoO already played many shows throughout Europe.
