Born in Vienna in 1968, Olga Flor grew up in Graz and Cologne, fast-paced cities rich in intellectual thought and literary talent. Although she went on to study physics, her childhood and teen years were determined by her passion for literature and writing. Her first novel, Erlkönig, was published in 2002. The book received positive reviews for its modern style and use of contemporary language. In 2004, her monologue Fleischgerichte premiered at the Schauspielhaus in Graz. 2008's Kollateralschaden (Collateral Damage), deals with the mundane ongoings of an hour at the local market. Hidden within the mundane are countless stories and lives.
