Addie Wagenknecht is an anti-disciplinary, experimental and atypical artist who explores the fields of emerging media, open source, pop culture and hacktivist arts. Seven years ago the New York resident moved to Innsbruck (Austria) where she has lived and worked ever since. Her works relate to the viewer, deal with current socio-critical issues and aim at improving cooperation, according to the methods of the open source community. Currently, Wagenknecht chairs the MIT Open Hardware Summit, is member at Eyebeam, Mozilla, and F.A.T. Lab, and a contributor at Artifact of Code, an aspiring blog for robotics.
