1 Week to Go!

Only one week to go until the Elevate Festival turns the city of Graz once again into a hotspot for young, contemporary festival culture.

The weather forecasts are excellent - a summery festival start is upon us and we are looking forward to opening the gates to 5 days of music, art and discourse around Schlossberg in one week!

Changes in the music programme

A few changes have been made to the festival program and it is now complete:

Unfortunately, Berlin-based Peruvian-Greek producer and singer-songwriter Sofia Kourtesis had to cancel her performance at the festival opening at Lesliehof due to a family emergency. Kourtesis' statement:

"Due to a last minute emergency family situation beyond my control, unfortunately I have to cancel my appearance at Elevate Festival on July 13th. I was very much looking forward to performing, but family has to come first. I hope to return to perform for you as soon as possible."

In the music program, however, there is a substitute sonic enrichment from American-German musician and producer Sophia Kennedy.

Sophia Kennedy

The music of Baltimore-born Sophia Kennedy, a native of Hamburg by choice, sometimes sounds like the soundtrack to a world hanging by the thread of memories. She combines the glamour and morbid charm of Tin Pan Alley Show tunes from the 1960s or '70s, yet is completely committed to the deconstructed modernity of club music. Her second album, "Monsters," released last year on City Slang, is full of twists and moments of beauty laced with paranoia.

Club programme on Friday moves to the Postgarage

The programme on Friday, July 15, at Dom im Berg moves to Postgarage due to regulatory requirements. The two club locations in the Schlossberg - Dom im Berg and Tunnel - can this year only be played on Saturday, July 16.

However, the complete club programme on Friday can take place in the Postgarage on 2 floors, additionally the Räucherkammer will be played by Salon Magika and the DJs Mike Stellar, Kollektiv Sheesh b2b Nugi and Kariyan.

Summer location in the Orangerie

Another highlight is the new location of the Orangerie in the Burggarten, where danceable and summery vibes from Attila & Goldberg, The Sunbathing Society, Sucre Sucre and Lipelis will grace the historic walls of the Graz landmark on Sunday, July 17.

There are still a few tickets, festival and club passes available at Elevate Ticketshop.

See you next week!
