„Where/What is the public space?“
A project by the media art association ESC
Public space is created by actions and negotiations in public. Collective maps are created through processes of cooperative production. This concept was developed by the artist duo Iconoclasistas from Buenos Aires, and implemented for the first time in Graz in 2012. The central question of this project is: What does security/surveillance/control mean in a city? The answers are visualised as graphics, images and icons, expressed in the form of stickers, and entered in a 4 m2 map.
