Elevate presents: Godspeed You! Black Emperor

The Canadian post-rock collective Godspeed You! Black Emperor returns to Graz with another soundtrack for our time. On 24 April 2024, the experimental nine-piece band from Montreal will present their new album "STATE'S END" at Dom im Berg in Graz.

"STATE'S END" unites all of the band's beloved facets. After 25 years, this new album is as vital, rousing, contemporary and relentless as any in Godspeed You! Black Emperor's storied discography.




As the heretical anarcho-punk spirit of the title suggests, Godspeed bundle extra raw power, spit and heaviness into noise-soaked widescreen post-rock across two riveting 20-minute side-lengths.

Poignant atmospheres, noise-soaked orchestration, drone, hypnotic swing-time crescendos, inexorably piled towers of distorted clean vocals: STATE'S END epitomises every beloved facet of the band.
